Overview

Welcome to the Gryphon Football Fantasy League for the 2017 season! Each player (you) will be able to select 4 offensive players, 4 defensive players, and 2 special teams players from our list of 30 Gryphon Football players.  
 
Click "Play Now" then "Join a Public League".  Only Public League teams are eligible for prizes.  Invalid lineups will be disqualified for that week.  
 
All 30 players are identified as either offense, defense, or special teams to help you select your ten player team. Each week, you can keep the same roster or have the ability to independently exchange players based on the previous game's performance. The rules and scoring are listed below, so choose wisely!
 
Each week, the player with the highest combined score will receive a University of Guelph gift card valued at $100, with that week's second and third ranked players receiving University of Guelph gift cards valued at $50 and $25 respectively. There will only be three awards given per week (no ties). At the end of the season, the overall winner will receive a University of Guelph gift card valued at $500, with the season's second and third ranked players receiving University of Guelph gift cards valued at $250 and $100 respectively. There will only be three end of year awards (no ties).

Rules

1. Participating individuals will be able to select a maximum of 10 players per week.  4 on offense, 4 on defense, and 2 special teams players (one must be non-kicker).

 
2.  The players will be scored using the following point system:
a) Yards = No. of Yards (rushed or received)
b) Touchdowns = No. of Touchdowns x 10
c) Tackles = No. of Tackles x 10
d) Interceptions Caught = No. of Interceptions Caught x 30
e) Interceptions Thrown = No. of Interceptions Thrown x (-15)
f) Passing Yards = Passing Yards x 0.25
g) Field Goals = No. of Field Goals x 5
h) Punt Return Yardage = No. of PR Yards x 0.5
i) Kick Off Return Yardage = No. of KOR Yards x 0.5
j) Fumble Recoveries = No. Fumble Recoveries x 30
k) Fumble Lost = No. Fumbles Lost x (-30)
l) Blocked Kick = No. of Blocked Kicks x 50
m) Sacks = No. of Sacks x 30
n) Penalties = No. of Penalties x (-15)
o) Player of the Game Offense = +50  
p) Player of the Game Defense = +50
q) Player of the Game Special Teams = +50
