The St. Thomas Alumni Pipe Band is a Grade 1 bagpipe band based in Houston, Texas, USA. The band derives most of its members from alumni of St. Thomas Episcopal School as well as players from the surrounding states. In 2011, the band placed 4th overall in the Grade 2 finals of the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. In the same competition in 2012, the band moved up two spots to 2nd place overall. 2013 and 2014 saw the band place 5th and 6th overall, respectively. In 2017, the band returned to top 3 status in the world (Grade 2) with a 3rd place finish. The band placed 2nd in the world in 2018 and won its first Grade 2 World Championship in 2019. The band was upgraded to Grade 1 by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association following the 2019 season. The band is led by Pipe Major Jamie Gattinger, Pipe Sergeant Mike Cusack, and Drum Sergeant Graham Brown.
